I was recommended by my family to register for this camp to have an idea about computer science and computer engineering, and to differenciate between them.
At first my parents forced me to go, but I didnt want to, but then I thought that the info I learn might give me an idea about the material I will take in university.
The first topic was about Electrical Systems, although I was really bored during the lecture, I was at least be able to gain knowledge about it.
The second topic was about Digital Systems, it was a bit similar to electrical systems but the difference was that the digital systems used binary code (0 and 1).
The third topic was about programming, we learned the C++ language and used it to create simple programs which came up as a command prompt.
The fourth topic was about mobile apps, we used a certain website to create a doodle app in which we can draw stuff over the pictures we have chosen or taken. This program was mainly for Android devices, so it wont work on iOS unfortunately.
The fifth topic was about Web development, we learned the HTML(Hypertext Markup Language) to create our own websites, like the one your viewing right now ;)
Another topic we took is Robotics, we used LEGO pieces to create an EV3 robot and used its own coding program to give orders to the robot. We also have made a robot sumo competition, here are some videos:
And finally the last topic, Smart Homes, I enjoyed this topic the most, because I found out that you can make a website in which you can control the home in terms of AC, light, temperature, checking if the doors are open, etc.
I had so much fun in this camp, I have nothing to say in terms of disadvantages, I've learned a lot of information in the computer field, and I am very glad I was taken on this journey.
